  I could have been one but wasn't willing to live up to the WT hypocritcal, phoney, "high" standards. Also it was very hard on my knees.

  Just got back from the 2004-2005 circuit assembly here are a few thoughts.

  upon arriving i ran into lots of old friends and really enjoyed seeing everyone and visiting.

  they dont know that im currently struggling with doubts about the organization and they think that im the same old zealous brother.

  i couldnt help but feel a sence of guilt visiting with them about our current number of publishers and how many we had pioneering ect.

  By the time she got on the plane for home she just couldnt take it anymore she just had to open it right then to see what it was. In the box their was a little coffin with a note in it that said "WELCOME TO THE WONDERFUL WORLD OF AIDS" (the whole audience gasped for air!) The talk was about remaining clean and obedience to the organization.

  What a bunch of garbage, that is just a varation of an old Urban Legend.

  A guy's friends throw him a 21st birthday party. They get him drunk and then a hotel room and a prostitute for his present. In the morning when this guy wakes up the prostitute is gone. When he goes to the bathroom, written on the mirror with lipstick is:

  I can see it now being passed around Jdubs as gospel truth.

  Magazines adding up at the KH ?

  no doubt there are several faders on the board.

  if your like me, you had been active, and had been recieving the magazines at the counter, every week.

  then we start missing meetings, then disappear.

  I have always wondered how many magazines are actually read and how many are used for "toilet" paper. I see when I am getting on the Jdubs handing out magazines and most of them end up thrown on the ground or the garbage can.

  If I recall it was something along the lines of "fore saking" Jehovah or denying his name. Hope this is helpful.

  Yeah I seen this on the news today and I thought it was pretty low class of him. However that being said, who really cares about a bunch of lazy free loading, has-beens. There are a lot more important things going on this world to really give this news item any more publicity than it deserves.

  if your very serious about a girl and youve been going out for over a year, but she is waiting on you to get baptized before marriage.

  its too hard to leave.

  but there are questions i have that i dont even think there are answers too.

  I have been single now for about 10 years. I have had opportunities to get remarried many times but after the first mistake I want to learn from my mistakes and not rush into anything. I have had some woman that right away want to change me into their image and that is when I run the other way. Life is too short to be in an unhappy relationship. I would rather be happy alone than unhappy and in a relationship.

  After 10 years I think I have finally found someone that is intelligent, fun to be with and accepts me for who I am. We are never going to agree on everything and there are things that have to be worked out but the key is that she accepts me for who I am and visa versa.

  I take it that you are a person in your 20's??. You have a whole life ahead of you. Don't jump for the first person that you meet, especially when there are already conditions being made on your relationship. Take your time, objectively look at all your alternatives and then make your mind up. Believe me if you change for her you will regret it for the rest of your life. I am speaking here from my own experience.

  I married and lived in an unhappy relationship for 18 years. My ex was a devote Jdub but I wasn't. I was living a double life trying to make her happy and it doesn't work. You have to want to get baptized for yourself, not for anyone else. She has too love you unconditionally and if she can't then walk away. It will hurt at first but you will be happier in the long run. Believe me there are lots of nice girls out there that would accept you for who you are.

  The WT frowned on any recreational activilty that would take away from the door banging preaching work. I don't recall specifically the chess article although I knew an older Jdub couple that would not play cards because they said it had questionable origins.
